FNBC Bank names Tara Allen Security Officer
Dana Batterton, Chief Risk Officer at FNBC Bank, has announced the recent promotion of Tara Allen to Bank Secrecy Act Officer. Allen joined FNBC Bank in 2014 as a Consumer Relationship Manager and quickly advanced into her new role.
“Tara brought a lot of banking experience and a real eagerness to learn,” said Batterton. “As bank security continues to be hot topic industry-wide, having someone with Tara’s background and drive was important to our organization. She’s jumped right in and will continue to help us offer the safest banking experience for our customers.”
In her new role, Allen will be responsible for the bank’s security function and security program. These areas include technical, personnel and electronic functions, along with overall responsibility of the corporate-wide Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Program. She will also continue to develop, implement and administer all segments of the bank’s security program, BSA Compliance Program, anti-money laundering, red flags and privacy programs.
Allen has more than 10 years of banking experience in both front and back-office roles, and recently worked at Scott Credit Union in Edwardsville, Ill. and the Bank of Cave City. She is a graduate of Salem High School. She and her husband, Mark, recently returned to the Salem area.
