FNBC Bank sponsors trip for Batesville High School’s Students of the Month
FNBC Bank sponsored a day of team-building and fun on Monday, May 16 for students who were recognized as Students of the Month at Batesville High School over the past academic year.
As the sponsor of the year-long program, FNBC Bank covered the cost for the students to travel to Loco Ropes in Mountain View. Not only did students get to spend the day going through the ropes course, they also participated in team-building activities such as the “trust fall.”
“We were really pleased to get to be a part of this program this year,” said FNBC Bank – Batesville Community President Mark Skelton. “These young men and women work hard all year and achieve their goals in the classroom. It’s a lot of fun to get to provide them with a day to celebrate their accomplishments, as well as participate alongside them and get to know them better.”
Over the course of the year, one student from each high school grade was selected through a nomination process to be Student of the Month. To be considered, these students had to use class time wisely and complete class work and homework in a timely manner, be honest, trustworthy, polite and respectful, receive no discipline referrals for the nominating month, and not been absent for more than three class periods in any class.
