Chuck Woods hired as Controller

New hire brings Fortune 500 experience to growing community bank

Chuck WoodsMichael Burris, Chief Financial Officer at FNBC, recently announced the hire of Chuck Woods as Controller.

In this role, Woods will supervise the daily operations of FNBC’s accounting team, as well as assist Burris with reporting, monitoring, analyzing and validating all financial reporting. In addition, Woods’ strong corporate accounting background will allow FNBC to expand and more strongly assist commercial clients with cash management and treasury needs.

“Our team is excited to have Chuck on board,” said Burris. “He not only brings a great deal of experience in managing large accounting teams from a customer standpoint, but he has a strong connection to our community, and those qualities combined will be a huge asset for our quickly growing community bank.”

Woods brings experience from two Fortune 500 companies. He spent several years with Texas Instruments in Dallas immediately after college, and most recently held a significant accounting role with Pfizer, Inc. in Memphis for the past decade. He has also worked as the operations controller for Lewis Auto Glass, Inc. in Memphis and the accounting manager for Stone County Ironworks in Mountain View.

An Izard County native and Melbourne High School alum, Woods holds a Bachelor in Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas and an MBA from the Devry University Keller Graduate School of Management. He and his wife, Nancy, are in the process of relocating to their family farm near Brockwell.
