FNBC Bank recently donated $1,000 to the Sharp County Sheriff’s Department to purchase an AED for a patrol unit.

The recent fatality of an individual who suffered from cardiac arrest led Sharp County Sheriff Mark Counts to decide on placing an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in each patrol unit. The department was able to receive a $1,000 grant from the Blue and You Foundation to purchase the first. They are exploring additional grant opportunities and are accepting donations from the community to ensure all six units are properly outfitted.

To donate or for more information, please contact Aaron Presser with the Sharp County Sheriff’s Department at 870-994-7329.
