FNBC Donates to Highland Middle School’s Accelerated Reader Program

Highland-Accelerated-Reader-Donation-IndividualPage-PhotoFNBC Marketing and Sales Project Coordinator Kasey Carter (pictured Right) presents a $1000 check for the accelerated program to Diane Counts (pictured left) Librarian at the Highland Middle School.

The Accelerated Reader program is used to help students build a lifelong love of reading and learning. At Highland Middle School 5th, 6th, and 7th graders and their teachers set goals that determine how many points each student should earn during each 9 week period. The students then read books and take computer-based tests over them. Students who reach their goal are rewarded with prizes at the end of each quarter.
