FNBC Bank announces LPO in Jonesboro

 In Newsworthy

FNBC Bank CEO and President Marty Sellars has announced the bank’s move into Jonesboro with the hire of Brad Snider as Community President and Brock Fletcher as Vice President and Commercial Lender. Headquartered in Ash Flat, Ark., this move marks FNBC Bank’s entrance into the growing Northeast Arkansas market.

The bank has notified the Arkansas State Banking Department of its plans to open a Loan Production Office, with intentions of submitting an application for a full-service location. The LPO will be located at 1118 Windover Road and will officially open its doors August 23.

“Strategically, our organization has been looking to buy a bank and expand our footprint for some time,” said Sellars. “We knew in order to branch into a new market we needed the right team in place, and that’s exactly what we’ve found with Brad and Brock. We are looking forward to serving and getting to know Craighead County.”

Snider, a career banker with more than 30 years of experience, was most recently an Executive Vice President and Market Manager for another Jonesboro bank for the past decade. Fletcher brings over 17 years of banking experience, most recently working as a Vice President of Commercial Lending in Jonesboro.

“We are very excited to join the FNBC Bank Team and their expansion into Jonesboro,” said Snider. “With its long history of banking success and its stellar reputation among clients and peers, we are honored to represent FNBC in this vibrant market. I think the people of Jonesboro will greatlyappreciate the focus on personal service and the efficient business model that FNBC will bring.”

FNBC Bank, headquartered in Sharp County, was chartered in 1912 as The Bank of Ash Flat. Today, it serves a six county footprint throughout North Central and Northeast Arkansas. Jonesboro is its 11th location.

In January, the $450 million-asset community bank announced the launch of FNBC Small Business, a new division that provides additional small business banking and development options through various programs and initiatives. FNBC Small Business is headquartered in the Batesville office, but services the bank’s entire footprint and beyond.

“FNBC prides itself on the strong relationships we’ve built over the years with our business owners,” said Chad Hudson, FNBC Regional President and Chief Lending Officer. “We’ve been pulling up a chair with small, family-owned businesses, farmers and ranchers, and multi-million dollar corporations for generations. Whatever your business banking needs are, FNBC can provide a competitive and reliable solution.”

In 2016, FNBC received designation as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). CDFIs are certified through a rigourous process by the CDFI Fund, part of the U.S. Department of Treasury, which indicates that the bank has devoted at least 60 percent of its total lending, services and other activities to benefit low-income communities. This designation allows FNBC to be eligible for grant opportunities to ensure fair access to financial resources for underserved people and communities.

“We have always believed in supporting and leading in our communities,” said Sellars. “As we expand into Jonesboro, I have no doubt that our local leadership will carry through our passion for creating value for our customers and the communities we serve.”

A native of Jonesboro, Snider has served as a Board Member for City Youth Ministries and the Jonesboro Baseball Boosters. He is a member of the City of Jonesboro Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Snider has also served as past President and Campaign Chairman for the United Way, past President of the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce, and past Foundation board member of Arkansas State University-Newport. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arkansas State University, and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

He and his wife, Denise, live in Jonesboro and have two adult children.

Fletcher is a member of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce Agri-Business Committee and Business Network Committee. He completed Leadership Jonesboro in 2009.

He holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, both from Arkansas State University. He and his wife, Danielle, live in Jonesboro and have three children.
