Karen Alexander promoted to Assistant Controller
FNBC recently announced the promotion of Karen Alexander to Assistant Controller.
In this role, Alexander will be responsible for managing, developing and coaching the Accounting Team, as well as assisting Chief Financial Officer Michael Burris with reporting, monitoring, analyzing and the validation of all financial reporting.
“Karen is a valuable member of our team and is looked to for support across our organization,” said Burris. “During her tenure, she has grown professionally and continues to be a teacher and mentor to those she works with. I look forward to working alongside Karen as she expands her career at FNBC.”
Alexander began her career at FNBC in 2001 in the bookkeeping and ACH/wire department. Since then she has held other roles and responsibilities in the Accounting Department, progressing to her most recent role as an Accounting Specialist IV.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and is an accredited ACH (automated clearing house) professional (AAP).
A native of Fulton County, she and her husband, Joshua, reside in Mammoth Spring and have two children.
